Who We Are
Caroline Johnson, CEO and co-founder of Blu Emerald Media Services, landed her first role as a social media manager in 2015 when a personal need turned into a community need. In a few short months, she grew a small niche group to 600 members that continues to grow and is successful to this day. She now uses those skills to maintain and grow small businesses' social media spaces by writing captivating and engaging content for their customers, clients and community fans.
In Sept. 2020, she partnered with her husband, Jamil Johnson, to launch a full-service Social Media Management Agency. We are a black-owned, family-owned, veteran-owned business with a network of independent contractors with journalism and graphic design expertise to provide many Media Services.
Why Blu Emerald?
The Blue Ridge Mountains are my husband's favorite place to be in North Carolina and Emerald Isle, North Carolina, down at the coast, is my favorite place. So we combined these two names. There's 2 E's back to back, so we dropped the E on Blue and arrived at BLU EMERALD MEDIA SERVICES! #perfection
